Abstract:
This method comprises a reaction step for reacting, in an organic solvent and in the presence of a nitrogen-containing compound and zinc or a zinc alloy, a compound represented by general formula (2): CF2X1-CFX2-(CF2)n-4-CF2-CF2X3 (2) [in the formula, n is as indicated; X1, X2, and X3 may be the same or may differ, X1 and X2 representing a halogen atom and X3 representing a chlorine atom, bromine atom, or iodine atom, provided that X1 and X2 may not both be a fluorine atom]. The reaction step includes a mixing step for sequentially mixing a solution of zinc or a zinc alloy in an organic solvent, the nitrogen-containing compound, and the compound with general formula (2), thereby making it possible to produce a perfluoroalkadiene compound at high yield while suppressing the generation of difficult-to-separate impurities.
