Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a method for producing a curing reactive organopolysiloxane having good alkali solubility and curability (especially high energy ray curability). [Solution] A method for producing a phenolic hydroxyl group-containing branched organopolysiloxane having at least a step that subjects to a hydrosilylation reaction a branched organopolysiloxane represented by average unit formula (1'): (D3SiO1/2)a(D2SiO2/2)b(RSiO3/2)c(SiO4/2)d (1') (in the formula, R is a monovalent hydrocarbon group, etc., D each independently is the same group as R, at least one of all D is a hydrogen atom, and a, b, c, and d are numbers that satisfy the following conditions: 0 ≤ a, 0 ≤ b, 0 < (a + b), and 0 < (c + d).). The production method may also have a step that introduces a carboxylic acid-containing organic group into the molecule by reacting a phenolic hydroxyl group-containing organic group and an acid anhydride.
