Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a method for producing a pigment-kneaded product. The method can be used to produce an aqueous pigment dispersion having a very small volume average particle size and having few coarse particles and excellent storage stability even in the initial stage of production, and can be used to produce an ink that has excellent initial ejection stability and good ejection stability over time and that does not clog an ink ejection nozzle at the initial stage of ink ejection. The present inventors solved the problem by a method for producing a pigment-kneaded product, the method being characterized by comprising: a step [1] for supplying at least a pigment and a resin to a container provided in a kneading apparatus; and a step [2] for kneading the content (a1) of the container until the storage elastic modulus at an angular frequency of 1 rad/s falls within the range of 200-30000 kPa as determined by a dynamic viscoelasticity measurement at 25°C.
