Abstract:

A pneumatic tire (10) where reinforcement rubber to be a reinforcement rubber layer in the tire is formed as follows. Belt-shaped reinforcement rubber sheets having substantially the same transverse cross-sectional area and transverse cross-sectional shape are wrapped around the entire periphery of a forming drum. In the process above, the sheets are displaced from each other in the axial direction of the forming drum so that at least a portion in the lateral direction of each reinforcement rubber sheet is overlapped on each other over the entire periphery of the forming drum, and both ends of in the longitudinal direction of each sheet are joined together. Consequently, a pneumatic tire having enhanced run-flat durability can be formed while suppressing factors obstructing the production of the tire as much as possible without affecting drive comfort.
