Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for producing a polyether polyol, which is scarcely colored while having a high polymerization degree, with high yield through dehydration condensation of a polyol. When a polyether polyol is produced through a dehydration condensation reaction of a polyol, the reaction is carried out in the presence of an onium salt. At least one salt selected from ammonium salts and phosphonium salts is preferably used as the onium salt.
