Abstract:
Provided is a method for producing a polyether rubber containing 0.1% by mole or more but less than 30% by mole of a unit that is represented by general formula (1), which is characterized in that a polyether rubber containing 0.1% by mole or more of an epihalohydrin monomer unit and a nitrogen atom-containing aromatic heterocyclic compound are reacted with each other by being kneaded using an extrusion kneader in the presence of an acid acceptor, so that at least some halogen atoms constituting the epihalohydrin monomer unit are substituted by groups containing a cationic nitrogen-containing aromatic heterocyclic ring. (In general formula (1), A+ represents a group containing a cationic nitrogen-containing aromatic heterocyclic ring; the group containing a cationic nitrogen-containing aromatic heterocyclic ring is bonded with a carbon atom at the 2-position in general formula (1) via one nitrogen atom that constitutes the cationic nitrogen-containing aromatic heterocyclic ring; and X- represents an arbitrary counter anion.)
