Abstract:
The present invention pertains to: a method for producing a polyetherketoneketone (hereinafter, also referred to as PEKK); and a polyetherketoneketone produced thereby, and more specifically, to: a method for producing a polyetherketoneketone, wherein 1,4-diphenyl benzene is added to a diphenyl oxide, which is a monomer, to increase the crystallization rate during polymerization and thus improve injection molding processability; and a polyetherketoneketone produced thereby. According to the present invention, provided is a method for producing a polyetherketoneketone (PEKK), the method being characterized by comprising: (a) a step for introducing terephthaloyl chloride (TPC), isophthaloyl chloride (IPC), and at least one selected from among 1,4-diphenoxy benzene and 1,4-bis(4-phenoxybenzoyl) benzene (EKKE) to a liquid reaction medium and dissolving the same simultaneously to prepare a reaction solution in a reactor; (b) a step for adding a catalyst after reducing the temperature of the reaction solution; and (c) a step for directly blowing an inert gas into the reaction solution and stirring after adding the catalyst. Thus, the effect of increasing the crystallization rate of a resin in a mold during a PEKK resin injection molding process is achieved by increasing the proportions of ether and terephthaloyl chloride in the repeating units of the polymer chain.
