Abstract:
The present invention pertains to: a method for producing a polyimide powder; and a polyimide powder produced thereby. More specifically, the method comprises: a dispersion preparation step for dispersing a dianhydride compound, a diamine compound, and a graphene powder in a mixed solvent to prepare a dispersion; a dispersion reaction step for introducing the dispersion prepared through the dispersion preparation step into a reactor and reacting the dispersion at a temperature of 150-400°C under a pressurized condition; and a polyimide powder production step for filtering and drying the reaction product prepared through the dispersion reaction step to produce a polyimide powder, wherein the mixed solvent contains water and a high boiling point organic solvent. In the polyimide powder production method comprising the above steps, a graphene powder is incorporated and a polymerization reaction can be controlled using a mixed solvent containing water and a high boiling point organic solvent, and thus the method provides a polyimide powder having a high molecular weight and capable of providing a polyimide molded body having excellent tensile strength and elastic modulus.
