Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide, using a monomer having a specific unsaturated bond, a method for producing a copolymer-containing varnish that does not cause gelation problems, a method for producing a composition, a method for producing a coating film, and preferably, a method for producing a biomaterial-compatible coating film (having the ability to inhibit adhesion of biomaterials and promote cell culture). The method for producing a copolymer-containing varnish comprises a step for copolymerizing a monomer mixture, which contains compounds represented by formula (1) and formula (2), in the presence of a radical polymerization initiator in a polymerization solvent, wherein the mass percentage of the compound represented by formula (1) in a phosphorus-containing compound contained in the monomer mixture is at least 70 mass%. (In formula (1), R1 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, R2 represents a C1-6 alkylene group, and n represents an integer of 1-30, and in formula (2), R11 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, and A1 represents a monovalent organic group having a cationic group)
