Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for producing a polymer compound, by which a polymer compound having a high molecular weight can be obtained by polymerization of a short time. Specifically disclosed is a method for producing a polymer compound having a repeating unit represented by formula (2), which comprises a step wherein a first aromatic compound that has at least two first functional groups containing a boron atom and a second aromatic compound that has at least two second functional groups that are reactive with the first functional groups are polymerized in the presence of an organic solvent, a palladium complex, a base and a compound represented by formula (1).
(In formula (1), Ra, Rb, Rc, Rd, Re and Rf may be the same or different and each represents a hydrogen atom or a monovalent organic group, or alternatively, two of the Ra-Rf combine together to form a non-aromatic ring and the others may be the same or different and each represents a hydrogen atom or a monovalent organic group.)
