Abstract:
This method for producing a polymer from a raw material containing glycerin and at least one type of glycerin fatty acid ester is characterized by including: a pH adjustment step for obtaining a composition which contains glycerin and whose pH is adjusted to 2-6; and a reaction step for bringing about a reaction by transporting the pH-adjusted composition in a capillary heated to a temperature of 200ºC or higher at a pressure of 10 MPa or more. The present invention can provide a new method for using a glycerin-containing composition.
