Abstract:
Provided is a method for producing a polyurethane lens, wherein a polyurethane lens is produced by polymerizing a composition that contains a polyisocyanate compound and a specific highly reactive polythiol compound, and wherein the composition is suppressed in viscosity increase over time and has excellent workability. A method for producing a polyurethane lens that is obtained by polymerizing a composition that contains (A) a polyisocyanate compound, (B) a polythiol compound that contains a polythiol compound obtained by an esterification reaction of a polyol compound and thioglycolic acid, (C) a polymerization catalyst, and (D) an acidic phosphoric acid ester compound represented by general formula (1) in an amount of 0.001-0.5 part by mass per 100 parts by mass of the total of the components (A) and (B). This method for producing a polyurethane lens comprises a step wherein the components (A) and (D) are mixed and then the components (B) and (C) are added thereto, thereby preparing the composition. (In general formula (1), R1 represents an alkyl group having 1-20 carbon atoms or an aryl group having 6-10 carbon atoms; a represents a number of 0-2; and b represents a number of 1 or 2.)
