Abstract:
The following is provided as a method for producing a polyvinyl-alcohol-based resin having high producibility and exceptional long running properties. A method for producing a polyvinyl-alcohol-based resin in which the absorbance at 280 nm is 0.2 or higher, the method comprising a step for melt-kneading a raw-material polyvinyl-alcohol-based resin, a step for extruding the melt-kneaded polyvinyl-alcohol-based resin into the form of a sheet, a step for cooling the sheet-form polyvinyl-alcohol-based resin, and a step for pulverizing the cooled sheet-form polyvinyl-alcohol-based resin.
