Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method which uses an aqueous urethane resin composition to enable producing a porous body with vertically elongate cells. This method for producing a porous body is characterized in that a thickener (B), which has an oxyethylene group content of less than or equal to 2×10-2 mol/g and which has a carboxyl group, is added to an aqueous urethane resin composition containing an aqueous urethane resin (A) having an acid value of greater than or equal to 0.01 mgKOH/g, with 0.01-30 parts by mass of the thickener (B) added per 100 parts by mass of the aqueous urethane resin (A); after thickening, the mixture is coagulated with a coagulant (C) that contains a metal salt (c-1). With the production method of the present invention, it is possible to use an aqueous urethane resin composition to produce a porous body having vertically elongate cells. Therefore, compared with a closed-cell porous body, a thusly obtained porous body has excellent texture, elasticity, peel strength, and moisture permeability.
