Abstract:
The invention relates to a method and a thermoforming or joining system (5) for embedding an embedding element (14) in a product. The use of in-mould labelling technology in thermoforming systems has become known more recently. The present invention proposes embedding elements in the products (14) to be produced in thermoforming or joining systems (5). This has advantages, for example, when particular mechanical protection is desired for the elements to be embedded, which can be desired especially in the case of intelligent components such as RFID transponders or other chips. Injection-moulded parts can also be mechanically connected to thermoformed or joined parts.
