Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for producing propylene oxide comprising a step wherein propylene oxide is produced by reacting hydrogen peroxide with propylene in a liquid phase in the presence of an epoxidation catalyst, and another step wherein recyclable components such as propylene and propylene oxide in a vent gas which is generated in the preceding step are recovered by being absorbed in a solvent containing a nitrile.
