Abstract:
Provided are: a method for producing a protection plate for display devices, said protection plate being suppressed in deterioration of an infrared transmitting film; a composition for forming an infrared transmitting film, which is able to be used in this production method; an infrared transmitting film which is suppressed in deterioration; and a protection plate for display devices, which is provided with this infrared transmitting film. The present invention is a method for producing a protection plate for display devices, said protection plate being provided with a substrate, a frame part that is provided on one surface of the substrate and has an opening for infrared communication, and an infrared transmitting film which is formed within the opening; and this method comprises a step for forming a coating film within the opening with use of a composition for forming an infrared transmitting film. The composition for forming an infrared transmitting film contains a binder component and a silane coupling agent; and the content of the silane coupling agent relative to 100 parts by mass of the binder component in the composition for forming an infrared transmitting film is from 0.05 part by mass to 7 parts by mass (inclusive).
