Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for producing a pseudopolyrotaxane by which it is possible to produce a pseudopolyrotaxane that has a high inclusion rate by using an industrially advantageous method. The present invention is a method for producing a pseudopolyrotaxane having: an inclusion step for mixing a polyethylene glycol and a cyclodextrin in an aqueous medium, and obtaining an aqueous dispersion containing pseudopolyrotaxane particles in which the polyethylene glycol is included in the openings of the cyclodextrin molecules in a skewered manner; and a drying step for obtaining the pseudopolyrotaxane by drying the pseudopolyrotaxane aqueous dispersion obtained in the inclusion step. The method for producing the pseudopolyrotaxane is characterized in that during the drying step, the pseudopolyrotaxane aqueous dispersion is made into a thin film and dried.
