Abstract:
Provided is a method for producing refined glycerin alkyl ether at a high recovery rate by removing glycerin from a mixture containing glycerin and glycerin alkyl ether. A method for producing refined glycerin alkyl ether, the method comprising the following steps (1) and (2):
Step (1) A step of contacting a mixture containing glycerin and glycerin alkyl ether with a cation exchange resin.
Step (2) A step of contacting a solvent with an SP value of 20.5 to 34 [(MPa)1/2] with the cation exchange resin to obtain an eluate.
