Provided is a method for producing a rubber composition for a sidewall, which comprises: a step (1) for kneading a natural rubber, silica, and a silane coupling agent; a step (2) for kneading a kneaded product (1) obtained by step (1), stearic acid, and zinc oxide; and a step (3) for kneading a kneaded product (2) obtained by step (2) and an epoxidated natural rubber.
