Title:
METHOD FOR PRODUCING SACCHARIFICATION FEEDSTOCK
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/116541
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A method for producing saccharification feedstock comprises: a milling step for milling grain dust; a soaking step for soaking the milled grain dust in a sulfurous acid-containing soaking solution; and after the milling step and the soaking step, a protein removal step for removing proteins from the sulfurous acid-containing soaking solution that comprises the grain dust. Since the grain dust contains almost no germ, which has a low specific gravity, a step for separating germ from the milled grain dust or the post-soaking step sulfurous acid-containing solution that comprises the grain dust is not necessary. With this method for producing saccharification feedstock, it is possible to effectively use grain dust, which has been processed as feed or fertilizer. Since a step for separating germ is not necessary, it is possible to produce starch, which is a saccharification feedstock, simply and with reduced production cost.
