Abstract:
The present invention is capable of efficiently producing a silsesquioxane (silsesquioxane represented by formula (C)) having Si-H groups as reactive substituents by hydrolyzing a cyclic siloxane represented by formula (B) to thereby conduct intramolecular dehydrating condensation. (In formulae (B) and (C), the R1 moieties each represent a C1-20 hydrocarbon group, and X represents a chlorine, bromine, or iodine atom.)
