Abstract:
Disclosed are a method for producing sintered copper article for craft or decorative use relating to copper or a copper alloy which can be fired in the atmosphere using a heating furnace commonly employed in the art, and a copper-containing plastic composition.
Specifically disclosed is a method for producing sintered copper article for craft or decorative use, which comprise forming a shaped copper article from a copper-containing plastic composition that contains a powder of at least one member selected from copper and a copper alloy containing 50 wt% or more of copper together with an organic binder, and firing the shaped copper article to give a shaped and fired copper article, characterized in that said powder contained in said copper-containing plastic composition has an average grain size of 10 μm or less and the shaped and fired copper article is obtained by firing said shaped copper article in the atmosphere.
