Abstract:
Disclosed is a novel method for producing an -SO3H group-containing fluoropolymer wherein sufficient stabilization of an unstable end group can be performed under mild conditions. Specifically disclosed is a method for producing an -SO3H group-containing fluoropolymer, which is characterized in that a fluoropolymer to be processed having a monomer unit containing -SO2X group (wherein X represents F or Cl) is subjected to a process wherein the following steps A, B and C are performed in this order. Step A: a step wherein a halogenating agent is caused to act Step B: a step wherein a decomposing agent is caused to act Step C: a step wherein a fluorinating agent is caused to act
