Title:
METHOD OF PRODUCING SPHERICAL MONODISPERSED PARTICLES AND SPHERICAL MONODISPERSED PARTICLES PRODUCED BY THIS METHOD, AND PRODUCTION DEVICE THEREFOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2002/022248
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A method of producing spherical monodispersed particles, capable of producing these particles constantly and efficiently. A diaphragm (15) that has received vibration generated and transmitted by a piezoelectric actuator (12) via a transmission rod (14) vibrates at a pulse of the same frequency as that of the actuator (12) and lets slurry contacting it generate a pulse pressure wave to thereby jet slurry in a slurry reservoir (21a) from an orifice on an orifice plate (23) as slurry drops once per frequency of the thus generated pulse pressure wave. Slurry drops freely fall inside a drying furnace (42) kept at a specified temperature properly determined so as to completely dry and remove the liquid component of slurry drops in a recovery unit (C) and are spheroidized by surface tension during the fall. Spherical monodispersed particles thus completely dried are recovered in a recovery box (44).
