Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for producing a sports sock, in which a pocket can be easily formed on the inside portion thereof corresponding to the shin of a wearer for accommodating a shin guard. The disclosed method comprises the steps of: turning the inside of a knitted sock outward to expose the inner surface of the sock; inserting a support plate into the turned sock; applying an adhesive to both side edges and the lower end of the rear surface of a shin guard pocket which is separately produced; placing the rear surface of the shin guard pocket on which the adhesive is applied onto the portion of the sock corresponding to the shin of a wearer; pressing the front surface of the shin guard pocket using a heat plate to fix the shin guard pocket to the portion of the sock corresponding to the shin of the wearer; and returning the sock, to which the shin guard pocket is fixed, to the original state.
