Abstract:
A method for using a curved surface plate (41) to produce a steel plate block comprising a long steel plate (2) curved with a predetermined curvature (κ), wherein a positioning member (4) is provided to the long steel plate (2), the long steel plate (2) is lifted so as to curve with a curvature (κt)(>κ) due to gravity and moved above the curved surface plate (41), the curved surface plate (41) has an upright positioning receiver (44) capable of positioning the long steel plate (2) and a support pillar group (42) having top end surfaces curved at a predetermined curvature (κ), the long steel plate (2) is lowered to a height that brings the positioning member (4) in contact with the positioning receiver (44) from the side, the long steel plate (2) is swiveled to bring the positioning member (4) in contact with the positioning receiver (44) from the side, the long steel plate (2) is lowered to bring the positioning member (4) into a receiving hole (44S) and position the long steel plate (2) relative to the curved surface plate (41), and the long steel plate (2) is then further lowered and laid on the support pillar group (42), first in the center and then progressively out to outer sides.
