Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for producing a high-quality sugar liquor from a cellulose-containing biomass with high efficiency. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method for producing a sugar liquor, said method comprising: a step of causing an alkaline aqueous medium to pass through a cellulose-containing biomass to produce an alkaline filtrate; a circulation filtration step of causing the alkaline filtrate to pass through the cellulose-containing biomass repeatedly to produce a cellulose-containing solid material; and a step of hydrolyzing the cellulose-containing solid material to produce the sugar liquor.
