Title:
METHOD FOR PRODUCING SUGAR SOLUTION
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2015/099109
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
This method for producing a sugar solution from cellulose-containing biomass contains: a step (1) for hydrolysis of the cellulose-containing biomass by means of a filamentous-bacterium-derived cellulase; and a step (2) for filtering the hydrolysate obtained by means of step (1) through an ultrafiltration membrane to recover the filamentous-bacterium-derived cellulase as a non-permeate and to obtain a sugar solution as the permeate. In step (1) or the first stage of step (1), the cellulose-containing biomass is processed by at least one enzyme selected from the group consisting of pectinase, glucoamylase, and lipase. The present invention obtains an effect surpassing the effect of reducing the amount of diastatic enzyme used in the hydrolysis of cellulose-containing biomass by means of conventional methods.
