Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method by which a sulfonic-acid-group-containing monomer can be produced in good yield, the monomer being usable as a raw material for fluoropolymer electrolytes such as fuel-cell diaphragms, catalyst binder polymers for fuel cells, and sodium chloride electrolysis diaphragms. The method for producing a sulfonic-acid-group-containing monomer represented by general formula (3) according to the present invention is characterized by including a step in which a cyclic compound represented by general formula (1) and a silanol compound represented by general formula (2) are mixed together and stirred.
