Title:
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A THREAD CLUMP DERIVED FROM BAGWORM SILK THREADS SPUN ON SUBSTRATE SURFACE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2020/045381
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Conventionally, bagworm silk threads spun on a substrate could not easily be recovered and therefore could not be utilized. The present invention addresses the problem of developing and providing a method for separating such bagworm silk-threads from a substrate with a weak force, without damaging the threads, and recovering the silk threads as a thread clump. Provided is a method for producing a thread clump of bagworm silk-threads, in which: a wetting solution is applied to bagworm silk threads spun on a substrate surface, the wetting solution being in liquid state at least at a temperature range of 20°C or higher but lower than 30°C and not damaging, denaturing, or dissolving the silk threads; and the silk threads are then separated from the substrate.
