Abstract:
A method for producing a tooth profile component, wherein: at the time of forming a tooth profile portion on the outer section of the tooth profile component by applying a load to the central section in the radial direction of a cylindrical raw workpiece while constraining a portion of the outer peripheral surface of the raw workpiece and thereby making the constituent material flow outward, a projection is formed by making the constituent material in the midsection flow toward a recess formed in a shaping die while reducing the constrained region on the outer peripheral surface of the raw workpiece; and when said load is at the maximum thereof, there is a space between the tooth profile portion and the shaping die and also between the projection and the shaping die.
