Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for producing a trione compound, said method being characterized by producing a trione compound represented by formula (IV) (wherein R1 and R2 are as defined in formula (I); and R3 and Ar are as defined in formula (III)) by removing water from a mixed liquid that is obtained by mixing at least one starting material compound which is selected from among dicarboxylic acid compounds represented by formula (I) (wherein R1 and R2 may be the same or different, and each represents a hydrogen atom or a uleine group-protecting group) and anhydrous compounds represented by formula (II) (wherein R1 and R2 are as defined in formula (I)) with an optically active amine compound represented by formula (III) (wherein R3 represents an alkyl group, an aralkyl group or an aryl group; and Ar represents an optionally substituted aromatic ring group) in an aprotic polar organic solvent that has a boiling point of 100°C or higher.
