Title:
METHOD FOR PRODUCING γ,δ-UNSATURATED ALCOHOL
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/143104
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a method in which an α-olefin represented by formula (1) is reacted with formaldehyde under heated conditions to produce a γ,δ-unsaturated alcohol represented by general formula (2), wherein the method includes a step of contacting the α-olefin with a formaldehyde aqueous solution under the presence of an alcohol having 3 to 10 carbon atoms, the formaldehyde aqueous solution being preheated at 30 to 220°C before said step.
(Formula 1)
(R1 to R3 are each independently a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms which may be substituted by a hydroxyl group, an alkenyl group having 2 to 10 carbon atoms which may be substituted by a hydroxyl group, or an aryl group having 6 to 12 carbon atoms which may be substituted by a hydroxyl group. R1 and R3 may be linked together to form a ring.)
(Formula 2)
(R1 to R3 are as defined above)
