Title:
METHOD FOR PRODUCING UROLITHINS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2019/130681
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a method for removing the hydroxyl group at the 8-position of a urolithin to produce a different urolithin. The present invention solves this problem by means of a method for producing a second urolithin that includes step (a): a step in which, in a solution containing a first urolithin, microorganisms having the capacity to generate the second urolithin from the first urolithin are caused to generate the second urolithin from the first urolithin.
