Abstract:
A molded product (36) and a cloth material (112') are arranged inside a belt mold (43) such that the molded product (36) is on the inner side and the cloth material (112') is on the outer side. The molded product (36) is pressed toward the belt mold (43) side and is heated and cross-linked in a state where compressed-layer forming parts (11'), which are constituted by covering respective elongate projections (111a') on the molded product (36) with the cloth material (112'), are fitted in corresponding compressed-layer forming grooves (43a) in the belt mold (43), and the molded product is integrated with the cloth material (112'), to form a cylindrical belt slab. The belt slab is sliced in units of a plurality of the compressed-layer forming parts (11').
