Abstract:
Provided is a method for producing a vapor deposition mask with which a masking sheet can be welded to a frame without generating wrinkles or distortions in the sheet even when the masking sheet is thinned. The method for producing a vapor deposition mask in which multiple masking sheets, in which multiple masking patterns that correspond to multiple pixels are disposed in a row on a rectangular sheet, are lined up and welded to a frame comprises: an affixing step (S11) for affixing a stretching sheet via a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer to a masking sheet; a contact step (S14) for bringing the surface of the masking sheet that is on the side opposite to the stretching sheet-side into contact with the frame while both edges of at least the stretching sheet are held by a gripping jig and at least the stretching sheet is stretched; a welding step (S18) for welding the masking sheet to the frame; and a peeling step (S20) for peeling the stretching sheet from the masking sheet.
