Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for producing a wet master batch containing a rubber component and a filler, comprising: step (a) for mixing and coagulating a rubber solution containing the rubber component and the filler; step (b) for taking out a coagulated product formed in step (a); step (c) for adding an additional portion of the filler to the coagulated product taken out in step (b); and step (d) for drying a mixture, which comprises the coagulated product taken out in step (b) and the filler further added thereto in step (c), wherein, in said drying step (d), said mixture of the coagulated product with the filler is mixed while applying a mechanical shear force, and the moisture content of the coagulated product obtained in said step (b) is 20-70%. Thus, provided is a novel method for producing a wet master batch, whereby the problem of incomplete dispersion of an additional filler, which occurs in the case of newly adding a filler, such as carbon black or silica, to a rubber master batch that has been dried and kneaded, can be efficiently overcome.
