Abstract:
A liquid crystal display substrate wherein a display plane is constituted of pixels disposed in matrix and the light passing through pixels of liquid crystal attenuates depending on video signals that are supplied to pixel electrodes connected through a drain line to switching devices, which are turned on by a scanning signal from a gate line. When some pixels do not attenuate light because of the absence of the scanning signal or video signal, their electrodes are connected to their adjacent gate or drain line so as to eliminate white spot defects.
