Abstract:
[PROBLEMS] To provide: a method for producing a molded article composed of a plant-derived composite material comprising a plant-derived material dispersed therein uniformly; the molded article composed of the plant-derived composite material; a method for producing a plant-derived composite material comprising a plant-derived material dispersed therein uniformly; and the plant-derived composite material. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] Disclosed is a method for producing a molded article composed of a plant-derived composite material which comprises a plant-derived material (e.g., a kenaf core) and a thermoplastic resin (e.g., polypropylene, polylactic acid). The method comprises the steps of: compressing and solidifying the plant-derived material to produce a raw material pellet; kneading the raw material pellet with the thermoplastic resin to produce a plant-derived composite material; and molding the plant-derived composite material to produce the molded article. Also disclosed is a molded article produced by the method.
