Abstract:
Provided is a method that can further increase operability with respect to the operation of an object to be operated through a touch panel. This invention is a method executed by a computer provided with a touch panel, wherein: on the basis of data points indicated by a first axial value and a second axial value acquired on the basis of a user operation on the touch panel, an angle showing a collection of the data points is determined; the acquired one or more data points are retained as a data point string, for each of predetermined times; a displacement speed of the data point string is determined on the basis of the displacement of the data points in the retained data point string and on the basis of a weight coefficient calculated according to direction components of the first and second axes for the direction indicated by the determined angle; and a weighted speed for determining a parameter of an object to be operated is determined on the basis of the deviation of the most recent determined displacement speed with respect to the average value of the displacement speeds determined prior thereto.
