Abstract:
A server according to one embodiment comprises: a communication circuit for communicating with a user terminal; a storage including a fingerprint DB for storing fingerprints corresponding to a plurality of points and a signal fluctuation probability DB; and a processor electrically connected to the communication circuit and the storage. The processor is configured to: store, in the signal fluctuation probability DB, a similarity between a first signal strength and a second signal strength, which are determined on the basis of a probability that a pair of first and second signal strengths received from a first AP will occur, with respect to fingerprints corresponding to a first point; acquire, from the user terminal, the fingerprint including the signal strengths received from the first AP; and determine a location of the user terminal on the basis of the acquired fingerprint and the signal fluctuation probability DB.
