Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for providing a user with a service of picking up/dropping off the user in a specified location by using a self-driving vehicle. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a method for providing a transportation service using a self-driving vehicle comprises the steps of: receiving operation information from a user terminal and identifying a destination on the basis of the received operation information; generating a driving route to the destination and transmitting the generated driving route to a self-driving vehicle; identifying an area where to stop that corresponds to the destination, if the self-driving vehicle is within predetermined distance of the destination, and determining whether it is allowed to stop in the identified area; and according to results of the determination, generating a driving route to the area where to stop and transmitting the generated driving route to the self-driving vehicle, or setting an area where to wait on the driving route to the destination and generating a driving route to the set area where to wait and transmitting the generated driving route to the self-driving vehicle.
