Abstract:
Provided is a user-friendly interface which plays back videos on an electronic device, in response to manipulation by touching a screen with a finger. This method for providing a user interface on an electronic device (10) which is manipulated by touching a screen (20) with a finger (90), comprises: a step in which a video is played back on a screen; a step in which the touch of a user is detected in an area (22) in which a video is being played back; a step in which, in response to the detection of touch, while the video continues to be played back, a plurality of flick auxiliary displays (60-63) are newly displayed in relation to the respective operations, in the vicinity of the position touched on the video; a step in which, while the video continues to be played back, the completion of a flick operation that corresponds to a flick auxiliary display is detected; and a step in which an operation related to the flick auxiliary display is executed.
