Abstract:
Provided is a method, for obtaining high-purity (E)-1-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene, that efficiently reduces undesirable organic matter from (E)-1-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene (OF-1233E) comprising undesirable organic matter. This method for purifying OF-1233E is characterized by comprising a step in which a composition comprising OF-1233E and at least one organic matter selected from HCFC-142 isomer, HCFC-244fa, HFC-245fa, OF-1234E, OF-1234Z, and OF-1233Z is brought into contact with a solid adsorbent.
