Abstract:
A method for purifying a nonaqueous liquid substance characterized in comprising: an ion exchange resin-filling step for filling a water-dampened macroporous or porous ion exchange resin in a cartridge container to obtain an ion exchange resin-filled cartridge filled with said macroporous or porous ion exchange resin before water content reduction; a water content-reducing step for reducing the water content of the macroporous or porous ion exchange resin in the cartridge container until the water content (A) of the macroporous or porous ion exchange resin after water content reduction becomes 90–97% of the water content (B) of the macroporous or porous ion exchange resin in a saturation equilibrium state; an initial blow step for passing the unpurified nonaqueous liquid substance into the cartridge container filled with the macroporous or porous ion exchange resin after water content reduction and discharging an initial blow waste fluid from inside the cartridge container; and a purification step. Said invention provides a method for purifying a nonaqueous liquid substance that can reduce the volume of the nonaqueous liquid substance used for the initial blow.
