Abstract:
The present invention relates to the field of communications, and in particular, to a method for pushing information to an in-vehicle device, and a server, and can push information related to an infrequently used destination address according to the infrequently used destination address, thereby improving user experience. The method comprises: a server receives a navigation request message carrying the destination address of a current journey and sent by an in-vehicle device; collect statistics about all journeys of the in-vehicle device within a preset period of time on the basis of a navigation service, and obtain a frequently used destination address of the in-vehicle device, wherein the frequently used destination address is an address which is used as the destination address of a journey more times than a preset threshold; if it is determined that the destination address of the current journey is not the frequently used destination address of the in-vehicle device, query a preset push information database according to the destination address of the current journey to obtain push information corresponding to the destination address of the current journey; and send the push information corresponding to the destination address of the current journey to the in-vehicle device.
