Abstract:
A method for pushing information when monitoring remaining food items in a refrigerator and the refrigerator. The method comprises: by means of barcode scanning, recording food items and the quantity thereof placed into a refrigerator by a user (S101); by means of barcode scanning, recording food items and the quantity thereof retrieved from the refrigerator by the user (S102); calculating remaining food items in the refrigerator (S103); and pushing information of the remaining food items in the refrigerator to the user and at the same time pushing patent information to the user (S104). By scanning barcodes on food items when the user is storing/retrieving the food items, the refrigerator is allowed to monitor at any time changes in the food items therein and the quantity thereof and to push the state of the remaining food items in the refrigerator to the user, thus facilitating the user in deciding food items to purchase, enhancing user experience in using the refrigerator, and at the same time safeguarding the interests of the patentee/applicant.
