Abstract:
Blood vessels and tracheas (12) distributed in an organ are extracted and thinned by using as input data a plurality of CT images of a finely varied and deformed organ (10), the coordinates of branching points (16) and linking points are extracted by using a thinned image (14), and movements of individual points between a plurality of CT images are tracked in a 3-D space with the above coordinates used as feature points, whereby linked movements of the organ (10) are measured. Accordingly, local dynamic tracking at an arbitrary point over the entire inner region of an organ, impossible with a metal marker, is enabled.
