Title:
METHOD FOR RANDOM ACCESS AND COMMUNICATION DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2022/017118
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present application relates to the technical field of communications, and discloses a method for random access and a communication device. A second communication device determines the correspondence between scanning periods of different scanning areas within the coverage of an SSB beam and ROs, and then sends, by broadcasting, a first message comprising information of the correspondence; a first communication device receives the first message, and determines an RO according to the scanning area where the first communication device is located and the first message to initiate a random access. In the present application, since different scanning areas are scanned using scanning periods that are not exactly the same, the capacity of users in the communication system (satellite communication system) where the second communication device is located can be improved, the communication efficiency of the first communication device can also be improved, and the waste of resources due to scanning different scanning areas by using a fixed scanning period can further be avoided.
